Lyon Computer Solutions
was established in June 2001 with the aim of providing any number of I.T. Services
and Solutions to individuals and small companies. Since then our reputation and portfolio has
expanded considerably and LyonCS are now providing additional services and
solutions to some the industry's key organisations. LyonCS still remains loyal
to our customers and to our traditional customer base.
The driving force and
owner of Lyon Computer Solutions has worked in the Computer and Networking
industry since early 1969, starting his career working on large "Main Frame"
computers. He spent the next 15 years learning the ICL, IBM and Honeywell
systems. in 1984 he moved into the Networking World was responsible proving a
European gateway for a World-wide network. In 1987 he became part of a team
supporting the National Westminster's Bank network and later that same year he
was asked to head a team of engineers supporting a large number of major UK
computer networks including the Europe's largest insurance company, several
Police Constabularies and a outsourcing company.
With the growing
popularity of distributed processing and use of personal computers, he bought
the very first personal computer aimed at the home user (a ZX81!) in 1981 and
since then continued to keep up with the booming PC marketplace.
In 1996 he joined the
World largest networking company where he continued his education until the
formation of Lyon Computer Solutions in 2001.
His skills alone therefore
include Main Frame computers, computer networks, computer hardware, computer
software and computer operating systems including Unix. In addition personal
computer systems from CPM, DRDOS, Microsoft DOS (1.1, 2.0, 3, 3.1, 4.0, 5, 6.0,
6.2), Microsoft Windows versions 2.0, 3.1, 3.11, 95, 98, 98SE, XP Home, XP
Professional, 2000, 2000 Server, 2003 Server etc), not forgetting of course Unix
and Linux.
Hardware experience ranges from the small ZX81 16kb system bought in 1981 all
the way through to the latest computer systems available today.
With his pedigree
