New LAN Core Technology Delivers Resilient, High-Performance Switching 3Com eXpandable Resilient Networking (XRN™) technology offers a pay-as-you-grow strategy that lets enterprise customers simply and cost-effectively scale their Gigabit backbone by combining two 3Com Gigabit multilayer switches in an XRN Phase One Distributed Fabric. An XRN Distributed Fabric for a single site is built with the XRN Interconnect Kit and any two switches from the 3Com® SuperStack® 3 Switch 4900 or 3Com Switch 40x0 families.
